Wlad fought in America multiple times and never got a point deduction because of holdig as far as I remember. And Tyson actually told of the two fights against Holy that he was holding and leaning on him with his superior strength and even pushing him away from attacks. It's totally common in boxing.

Being common doesn't make it fair or right. People say Haye fought like a coward but Wlad using tactics that are against the rules to not get hit is perfectly fine is bull****. Breaking the rules to avoid getting hit is more cowardly.

The fact that Haye fans equate survival with success just goes to show that an intelligent argument cannot be had on the subject.

He made it the distance and he landed a few punches and he lived to talk about it. He fought the exact same fight as Sultan Ibragimov who was roundly trashed for his effort, only Haye did a little better job with the "stink-it-out" strategy than the Russian did.

Of course Ibragimov didn't do any of the pre-fight bull**** to make his effort look all the more pathetic.

The only reason Haye is on the radar is because of his mouth, not because of his boxing ability. Haye hasn't done **** for over a year, and he's supposed to get a title shot uncontested? **** THAT! He should fight someone before he even thinks about fighting Vitali. Haye is much more bark than he is bite.

No one else who wants a shot has done a thing worth a damn either, at least he is somewhat interesting of a challenger so its the best we can get until a serious challenge comes along. I know its not right but there is nothing better that can be done at HW.

The worst era in heavyweight boxing history? I just love to keep hearing that bs, what because they are white europeans it is the worst era? Ok so the K brothers have beaten/fought:

So during Lennox Lewis's "era" which is pretty close to being the same era the K's have fought in, the only quality opponents he fought the K's didn't were: a crappy Oliver McCall, a underachieving Michael Grant, a nutty Andrew Golota, a shot Mike Tyson and an almost over the hill Evander Holyfield? Are you serious? I am sick of hearing about how ****ty this heavyweight era is just because there is no american superstar dominating it, its ridiculous and it is racist. Other than the eras of Dempsey/Tunney, Louis/Marciano and Ali/Frazier, please tell me what other era's were so overwhelmingly better than right now? With the possible exceptions of a prime Ali, Foreman, Tyson and Holmes, the K's would have pretty much destroyed every other heavyweight in history so I am tired of hearing this argument about how crappy it is right now. Their styles are cerebral and may sometimes look boring sure, but don't blame the era for that. Lennox retired immediately after the Vitali fight because he knew his ass was grass if he fought Vitali again. He kept rubbing this dreadlock knots all over Vitalis eye cut to open it up because he was on his way to being KOed. But it seems since no one can compete with them for the most part, the era is **** right?? No the era seems like **** because they are dominating everyone, that is why, so it is not exciting to many people.

Let Vitali fight who ever in the late Summer/Early Fall, Haye should try and push for a fight with Marco Huck, who just beat Povetkin in the eyes of many. If Haye came back and beat Huck in July/August, he could than make his case for a Haye-Vitali fight after that.
