Give him a shot. He's still a better fight then most other's out there today so just get it over and done with. I'm British but lost all respect for Haye after the Wladamir performance but more so about the excuse's he used afterwards. I would not mind seeing a fight with Vitali though because were are going to get either a miracle win for Haye and another British HW champ or we are most likely going to see Haye get knocked the F**k out which is just as good.

no way shud haye get the shot. aftr the way he fought against wlad - he needs to prove himself again. Thompson tried in his fight a lot more than Haye did - who gave nbo effort at all. Thompson dont deserve a shot, but he does a lil more than Haye who just got a shot vs wlad last yr and gave NO effort to win at all.

The only reason Haye is on the radar is because of his mouth, not because of his boxing ability. Haye hasn't done **** for over a year, and he's supposed to get a title shot uncontested? **** THAT! He should fight someone before he even thinks about fighting Vitali. Haye is much more bark than he is bite.

Wow i really don't understand all the stick haye got for his performance he fought a guy that had all the big psychical advantages against him and fought him clever but i am sure you guys maybe wanted to see a knockout so were only watching wladimirs right hand the whole fight and didn't see hayes hand speed, head movement, footwork, and reaction times on that night haye would of beat any other heavyweight except wlad on the planet vitalis old now you saw that in his last fight hes lost a little bit of himself and that drags him down to just above the likes of chisora and co a level in which haye is above also

Haye has got more boxing abilty than any other fighter you can put in the ring with Vitali that's why his fans don't want Vitali to take the fight. If he was a Mormeck calibre fighter they would be all for it.

I am really disappointed at this article from boxing scene.com. I have read with horror countless posts about Haye’s apparent dismal performance against Wladimir. I have largely ignored the most of these posts as I deem them coming from part-time boxing fans who only tune in to watch ‘blockbuster’ boxing whenever it is on.

Also, like your post, these uninformed posts always fail to mention a recent better performance than Haye’s.
As a genuine boxing fan, I have watched without fail every of Wladimir’s fights in the last 4 years and I can say categorically that Haye’s performance was by a mile the best of the lot. The trouble is that no one really lands a meaningful blow on Wladimir – he has perfected the art of ‘hit and don’t get hit’.

You only need to compare Wladimirs face after the Haye fight to any of his other post fight face in previous fights and you know that he’d been in a fight.

Anyone who is not familiar with boxing and did not watch Haye vs Wladimir would think Haye was KO’d in one.

Admittedly, some of the pre-fight hype was distasteful (especially the t-shirt business) but love or loathe the hype, it was the reason heavyweight boxing received a boost in recent times and made a certain Mr Haye a good fortune ( I hope you are half as successful as Haye in your chosen field but you’ll have to better than this article).

The fact that Haye gave away over 4 inches in height and almost 30lbs in weight puts his performance even in better perspective. More so, when you consider a certain Mr Pacquiao, regarded by many as the ‘pound-for-pound’ king will not agree to give Cotto a 2lb advantage. Even Wladimir conceded that he fought someone who was not really heavy – in other words he fought someone who may be regarded as a cruiserweight.


Finally, a few experts including the guys at GBP wanted Haye to fight Vitali and not Wladimir as they opined that this would be a better match up because of Haye’s speed and hopefully this fight would come to fruition and it will be another glorious night for boxing.
