The bad thing about that was that it drained Lopez energy when he did pressure. He landed good shots but still got hit more in those two rounds where he was the aggressor and in my point of view and maybe yours, that was his downfall. Salido has his number.

JuanMa Lopez is a shame! Sore looser! and the WBO disgraced themselves they were clearly going to rob Salido. It's no wonder they gave JCC and Arce rings. They wanted to make themselves look like they were special before they attempted to rob Salido. They should band those judges or suspend them and fine them. Shame on you WBO!!!!!

That was one of the best stoppages I have seen in a while. The ref saved Salido from getting robbed. Juanma should be ashamed of his post fight comments.

I give Juanma credit for taking shots the way he did, but it is frustrating to watch him fight. Half way through I kinda wanted Salido to KO him and make him go away. Poor technique, no head movement, slow methodical and telegraphed punches, leaves his chin exposed constantly, I can go on.

He is done IME. Those of you saying he needs a new corner, go watch his last six fights again, he needed the corner a long time ago. This kid is not going anywhere-- he has taken too much damage. He would do well to retire and enjoy his family and get healthy.

Juanma was not himself from the very beginning...unconfident...and worried about being stopped again. Juanma is a great boxer but his defense is **** and his chin is always sticking out waiting to be touched. He fought his heart out and I give him props, he was a dead man walking the last 3-4 rounds 100%, he seemed almost drunk...he was running on fumes, just instinct. His corner should have paid more attention because he took an unholy beating tonight, far worse than the first one too. He will never be the same fighter again and I think his entire career was impacted by tonight. Pride is pride, I get it, but his chin is done I think. The saddest part of it all, was that a FOY candidate fight, with Salido fighting the most amazing fight of his career...was a few rounds away from being robbed on the cards. Those scorecards were repulsive, and this is getting very old. Salido was up by 5 rounds, unreal. Lopez also made a fool of himself saying that the ref had a ******** problem. That is absurd and a travesty. Juanma could barely stand when the fight was stopped.

it was a great fight but as someone stated and EVERYONE will state....Juanma needs to tighten up his D!!! i will not waste my time on another juanma fight! and this is coming from a puerto rican in Puerto Rico! true...any respect i had for juanma for being a durable, sturdy fighter was lost when he claimed the ref did him in because he has a ******** problem and stopped the fight to win money. IMO the ref was on salido all night for low blows and holding behind the neck. which juanma was doing also. but after the kd juanma could hardly stand up and kept wobbling. had the ref let the fight continue, he should not be allowed to ref another fight IMO. juanma was clearly in danger and could not defend himself. the ref was right to save juanma from himself. a dam good fight that gave both fighters a huge boost was ruined by juanma's sour g****s. and thats too bad for such a good show.

As a Puerto Rican fight fan, I wanted JuanMa to win but as the fight progressed, I saw his desperation with the elbow attempt, the holding of the head while trying to hit Salido and I just lost my urge to cheer for him. This was a great stoppage cause JuanMa was clearly gone. The ref had nothing to do with it. All those excuses about the refs in both fights had nothing to do with JuanMa getting dropped so take the loss like a champ, stop trying to snitch and come back stronger next time. If anything, the ref saved his life and career by stopping it because even though I thought it was a close fight, JuanMa took way too much punishment. Cong**** to Salido and to Mexico for this one. We will get you next time.
P.S. That 9th round had Ward-Gatti written all over it in my opinion.

The funny thing is that Lopez had more success when he was going to war this time around. He wasn't winning any of the rounds, but when he was pushing Salido back he was landing good shots.

When Lopez actually tried to make a war he was receiving very hard punishment from Salido. Both rounds 8 and 9 were a brawl and in both rounds Salido was able to land extremely hard and clean shots on Lopez. Then on round 10 Lopez was just exhausted and Salido took him out.
