You can tell Lopez had been studying some Mayweather tapes before this fight as he was ineffectively trying to use the shoulder roll and attempting to counter off the ropes, what these fighters don't realize is that Floyd doesn't just use his athleticism and shoulder roll and counter off the ropes because it looks flashy, he's actually just conserving energy and calculating, then he actually makes adjustments round to round. I thought Lopez was going to adjust after a few rds but he made no adjustments, he went from boxing to brawling or should I say reverted back to because thats exactly what got him knocked out the first time.. Lopez has been in too many brawls at this point in his career and should really consider retirement the way he was talking.. health is more important in the long term, he's had his big shot and now that ship has sailed. He just isn't an elite fighter thats going to make it to the next level and theres nothing wrong with that cuz it was a good run, but yea someone should really sit him down..

I believe Salido caused Juanma brain damage on this one.

Thank God for Salidos sake he knocked out Juanma cuz he was gonna get robbed big time!! no way he wins a decision in PR!! Funny thing is TR ruins Juanma-Gamboa by waiting it out and all it did was show Juanma isn't any where near Gamboa league!!plus Gamboa beat Salido handily!

Imagine what Broner would have done to JuanMa if he moved up in weight. My goodness. This continues to make Gamboa look great by the way.

Ref shoulda just let Juanma get killed before stopping it like that and having to deal with early stoppage controversy again. He fought his heart out the 2nd half of the fight and that's all I ask for. Oh and those the judges must have been drunk. Lopez wasn't winning ****. Lol. And if I hear 1 more time anything about JMM gettin robbed vs Pac, I'm gonna bash myself over the head with this Corona I'm drinking. Campillo-Cloud was a robbery. JMM just lost a close fight.

Juanma was not himself from the very beginning...unconfident...and worried about being stopped again. Juanma is a great boxer but his defense is **** and his chin is always sticking out waiting to be touched. He fought his heart out and I give him props, he was a dead man walking the last 3-4 rounds 100%, he seemed almost drunk...he was running on fumes, just instinct. His corner should have paid more attention because he took an unholy beating tonight, far worse than the first one too. He will never be the same fighter again and I think his entire career was impacted by tonight. Pride is pride, I get it, but his chin is done I think. The saddest part of it all, was that a FOY candidate fight, with Salido fighting the most amazing fight of his career...was a few rounds away from being robbed on the cards. Those scorecards were repulsive, and this is getting very old. Salido was up by 5 rounds, unreal. Lopez also made a fool of himself saying that the ref had a ******** problem. That is absurd and a travesty. Juanma could barely stand when the fight was stopped.
