Though realistically, I think he'd retire by 45 after beating Pacquiao twice. The furthest I see him going is 47. At that point, he's beaten the other big names of his generation -- So who else is left for him to fight? Martinez? That would be an interesting match up, I'm a Martinez fan (minus the hands down thing he does) and I see Martinez posing a problem but I don't see Martinez winning. Canelo would be his biggest challenge after Cotto. Mayweather would be 37 by the time he would get to Canelo who would be 23/24, who is on his way to be a (strong) challenger for Mayweather.

You can only imagine whats bound to happen. I would like it turn out that way but who knows whats going to happen after he gets released from Jail.

I don't think his 42-0 wont pass may 5 2012 people underestimated cotto a lot but this guy got the power the experiences and confident to beat him its like they said NOBODY is unbeatable and i believe floyd made a big mistake going up to 154 remember last time he fought there he dint look fast enough plus it was 5 years ago a younger floyd he is taking a big risk and i don't think he ill be victorious on may 5th. why do yo think he wants a 8oz glove for the fight for his advantage for speed he knows he not that fast at 154 so that goes to tell you that he aint 100% sure of him self.

He won't fight the "big names" unless he has a definite advantage over them. Yhis is his whole modus operandi, it always has been. His Brains trust slipped up only twice, when he fought Emanuel Augustus, expecting an easy win over a guy who'd lost 16-18 fights and then with Castillo, who was generally regarded as having already seen his best days, because his main occupation for the previous 6-7 years had been chief sparring partner for Chavez, who used to batter him regularly, especially to the body. This was much talked about before the Mayweather fight, as another example of good picking by the Mayweather Brains Trust for an easy title.

Castillo was already nearly 30 years old, had hard a hard boxing life, had only 2 months to come down from 150, and had lost 4 fights, all by KO.......... Had been damned lucky to get Stevie Johnson, who was 4" smaller, when he was out of shape (I saw that fight) had never beaten another top fighter........ What does that tell you about Mayweather....?

But Castillo surprised him. Before the fight the pundits were saying that he would attack to the body, as he'd learned the value of this from Chavez. And that is exactly what he did. And actually won the fight. Facts are facts.
