They are going to hype Seth Mitchell.........

as the next great American HW, the best American HW since Bowe-Holyfield-Moorer, and he's going to fail. I just don't see it. I like how he's progressing into better opposition as of late, which other HW's I like aren't doing. But, I just don't see it. A year or two from now, he'll end up having to fight a Top Tier HW and he won't make it, he'll fail. I just don't see the hype or the skill.

Is it just me that thinks this, or are there others as well???

He is scheduled to fight Chazz Witherspoon, IMO we're about to find out where he is at exactly.

He will be a rerun of Jeff Lacy. I'm calling it.

So long as he brings a fight.

The Heavyweight division and the majority of its fights have been too boring for too long.

He's raw but can only get better.

6ft 2 is not too small for a heavyweight, its not all about how tall you are lol

It depends which route they take....if they look at fighting a Klitschko as the end game for Mitchell, then yea I agree I can't see it. That wouldn't happen anytime soon anyway I'd think, so who knows that the landscape will be like in 1.5-2 years.

Guys with the size, skill and mentality like Vitali or the pedigree of Wlad are pretty rare....all these other bigger guys in the divison who are emerging contenders like Helenius or coming up like a David Price or Wilder aren't necessarily good enough to totally negate someone who is smaller...they are quite beatable by guys smaller than them. And a lot of the other guys who have already fought for or hold a belt like Povetkin, Arreola, Solis, Adamek, Haye, Chisora, etc, etc are just about his size. we'll see how committed to the gym he is obviously because he has catching up to do as far as learning the craft.

If Mitchell (or any of these guys really) ends up meeting someone in the future top tier who has a size advantage....it's not going to seem so impossible to do because it ain't gonna someone with the skills and experience of a Klitschko.

This is all assuming he keeps progessing lol, a lot of heavyweight dreams have been shattered with one shot.

They're only boring because people hate on the Klits. It's like when you're not watching your favorite sports team play, the interest and attention span is lower. I find the Klits very exiting. A lot of the big fights before Wlad and Vitali were clinchfests after the 5th round and people called them "exciting".

Wlad's last fight was a clinchfest in case you didn't watch it. Luckily he finally got aggressive and ended it, putting us all out of our misery.

This. Mitchell won't necessarily be too short if he fights against guys like Fury, Helenius, Wilder or Price after the brothers retire. These guys are tall but they don't use their height as optimal as the Klitsckos do. The age thing is not too important nowadays since many of the heavyweight prospects are as old as Mitchell (Helenius, Price, Pulev, Wilder). Only Fury is really young but I doubt he'll do any great.
