After Floyd, hatton fought lazcano and malignaggi and both are considered big success in attendance and ppv sales.
On 2008, Hatton beat Mexican Juan Lazcano by UD in front of his home crowd of 55,000; a post-World War II record for a boxing match in Britain.
The official attendance in MGM for Hatton vs Malignaggi is 9,053. Of those around 6,000 are people who flew from Great Britain to cheer for Ricky Hatton and ppv sales was a huge success at 800,000.
Where did you get the idea that Hatton became a nobody after his fight with Floyd?Last edited by acidity; 03-10-2012, 04:59 AM.Comment

Pac beat hatton better though, which is what floyds fans try and ignore. Thats the danger of bringing up Floyd beat a better hatton topic, because of course people wont conveniently ignore that Pac beat hatton more convincingly like he seems to beat everyone Floyd fights better.
Apart from JMM i hear you say! Well Floyd dont give rematches and whos to say in a triology JMM wouldnt win 2 out of 3 fights with Floyd, no matter what happened in the first fight.Comment

Obvious argument would be Hatton's lineal championship and prime weight at 140.
So yes, there are arguments as to who beat the better Hatton.Comment
