He will probably get a slap in a wrist like most powerful figures there...If this was the US IRS then maybe, but not the BIR...
Where did you get the impression that Manny Pacquaio is the Phillipines most popular figure? He might be the most popular sports figure, but like 90 percent of the people in this country, 90 percent of the people in the Phillipines don't care about sports and have never heard of him. This man that you claim is so popular had to spend $10 million of his own money to win a congressional race. If he was as popular as you think he is, he wouldn't have had to spend a dime to get elected.

You can deny it if you want, but Pac is in trouble. He probably won't have to go to jail, but he will be hit with a $20 million back taxes bill.

          • LOL. *******s try to paint manny as some goodie 2 shoe church going Saint with a smile. When In reality he's not close. Problems with infidelity and his wife, Criminal Tax Charges, and has shunned the integrity of the sport by running for years from Random USADA Testing. Hilarious!

            • Manny being investigated for tax fraud = "political attack" in Pacland.

Also, we're all idiots for speculating about the problem because, "we don't know Philippines law, taxes, and politics." But the same Pinoy all spent months even years talking about Floyd's legal and income tax problems in America

The irony is killing me on this one.

                • Well this is not surprise to anyone, well except maniacal Pac worshippers. Granted Floyd gets into way more trouble than most and I don't defend his ignorant BS, but I am curious as to how the Pac-world reacts to this news? He is the messiah, the second coming of Christ almost in their eyes....but they turn a blind eye to the fact that he's a ******** addict, (like Floyd) a womanizer and now a tax evader basically. Well also a "possible" steroid abuser lol, which has not been proven yet. I couldn't care less if he gets in trouble or not, and that is not even the point whatsoever. The fact that he is not perfect and is capable of lying, stealing and cheating basically, is just something I am glad comes more into the light. In fact, I do not want him to go to jail, nor get into trouble, because that would be the perfect way to end his career and not facing any real challenges in the future and there would be no way for him to control it. I want him out of jail and in the ring, facing someone who is not drained, old or shot lol.

The Filipino government and Bureau of Internal Revenue are asking Pacquiao where millions of pesos in taxes are and the diehards are calling it a "political attack."

Government asking Pacquiao for money they're owed = political attack
