Retirement....I can't see anything else, if he can't beat Salido, a solid fighter, what's the point of keep going on against the elite level guys?

Become a journeyman? He can still live off boxing but of course on a smaller budget. He is decent enough to **** with the best of them so yea.

He'll always be fun to watch, but losing to Salido twice probably finishes him at the top level. Still wouldn't mind him fighting Gamboa, guaranteed fireworks.

He could still get big fights because he is one of the more notable guys around that weight not to mention fun to watch and at 130 its pretty thin so another ko loss really doesn't take him down any further than he is now.

I see your point, but it'll be very different with Lopez. The thing is, Mayorga and Vargas use to dispose of their lesser opponents easily like the Matagwa's and stuff. Vargas has decent wins against Quartey and Winky[close fight], while Mayorga has two wins over a very good fighter Vernon Foresst and has a win over Vargas himself. Lopez doesn't have any wins like these, his best win is Ponce De Leon, and if you wanna count past prime guys then Rafael Marquez was an okay win.

So he'd be a very watered down version of Mayorga and Vargas. And the guys they lost to as well, are HOF'ers, they didn't lose to no Salido or went life and death 25-12[something like that] record having dudes. Vargas lost to Trinidad, DLH, Mosley. Aside from his early career losses, Mayorga lost to Trinidad, DLH, and Spinks in his prime..and then to Mosley and Cotto when he was past prime.
