People forget Dempsey brought in the first +1 million dollar gate, he brought boxing to the public eye in a major way and if you read his book 'Championship Fighting: Explosive Punching and Aggressive Defense' he was far more advanced than people realize, demonstrating an understanding of the game that even some modern experts neglect.
