I dont think they should have gone ahead with the presser when they knew he wasnt going to show up, But am sure they have their reasons just like Gamboa had his reasons for doing what he is doing.

Gamboa called out Rios, there wasn't public outcry until Gamboa insisted he wanted the fight and the fight was made. People are mad because after all that, Gamboa appears to be trying to back out.

And just because Top Rank has unprofessional behavior, doesn't mean we should support a fighter who is screwing them when they are actually setting him up to be a huge star.

I def agree with this. If top rank does have a contract now Gamboa is in bad shape in court for not showing up to the presser's he signed on for. If there is no contract now top rank looks like a bunch off a$$holes for going through with pressers for no reason.

See the thing is, I think that the more it sunk in, the more his team realized that he bit off more than he could chew. What Pacman has done jumping weight & suck hasn't been done much. This is 2 weight classes here.

Against a prime young bonified powerhouse of a lightweight. Matter of fact the only fighter of recent years that I can think of that has jumped 2 weightclasses to take on a division elite is when Sugar Shane came up to 147 to fight oscar. But Shane has proven to have an adamantium chin. Gamboa has bitten canvas from little guys with laughable power.

I honestly feel Gamboa realized that he made a mistake & doesn't want the fight anymore. I was shocked to see them have him as the favorite, In Rios's division arguably the division elite to boot, young & prime.
