The Gamboa fight might not happen on the 14th April but it may happen in the future. Bam Bam should now and try and get a fight with Marquez, Gurerro or Gesta. Bam Bam should be glad the fight may not be happening because Gamboa would have eaten him.

There's something in the contract that he's not happy with. He repeated yesterday that this is the fight he wants, sort out the contract dispute and let's go.

the word is that gamboa wants a release from the contract if he takes the fight, that is not going to happen.

I've been told that he's seeking Top Rank to revise their extension with him and re-work it to one year deals so that he can have options as opposed to being tied down for the long term?

I can understand both views on that. It makes sense for him to want freedom, but it also makes sense for Top Rank not to leave one of the few special talents in the sport free to walk.

in my opinion though he should've taken the fight first and then try to work out a deal with top rank , because doing all this mess right now is a lose lose situation for him, top rank can easily say f you and put his career on the shelf for 2 years, otherwise if he would take the fight make good loot and win it would take him to the next level. man i dont know what he is thinking but it could be over for him
