Whatever the case. Gamboa coming up two weight classes is the attraction here. Not Rios.

David always gets the attention, Goliath is just the "big guy" who's supposed to win.

If DLH had beaten Pac, an obvious cherrypick[even though Roach and Pac asked for the fight], that wouldn't have done anything for DLH, he was supposed to win that fight.

Yea Gamboa-DeMarco will have the same interest as Gamboa-Rios.

Gamboa-DeMarco would generate more interest than Rios vs any one else at LW except Rios-Marquez. The point is, the rarity of a fighter moving up two weight classes to fight the #1 ranked fighter there, or a legit top 3 title holder. The main character of this story is Yuriorkis Gamboa, Rios is the co-star. I know you don't like it, but that's what it is. Deal with it. Rios could have the better fanbase, but Gamboa is the star of this story. Swallow it slow.

Whatever issues Gamboa is having with his contract for this fight TR needs to fix asap this is a big fight with lots of buzz surrounding it so TR don't wanna cancel the fight but I hope he doesn't get shamed into signing a contract he doesn't want though business comes first if Gamboa holds out sucks for us but he gotta do what he gotta do

I read that gamboa never actually signed the contract for this fight. if that's the case then this **** is on TR. of course i'm pissed that it won't happen too, but this is another case of TR being TR; treating their fighters ****ty.

if the contract wasn't signed yet, why even move forward? That kinda reminds me how the tickets were damn near sold out for pac-jmm III and pac hadn't yet signed the contract. Fk Arum and their team!

Refardless of whether it's true or not what are you talking about with your Haye inspired"slave contract" libel. How easy it is to spread rumours around on the internet with no consequences.

it obvious he did not and thats what the dispute is about.. This is the same things Arum pulled when floyd agreed to fight Margarito.. Floyd would only fight margarito , if Arum would give floyd , cotto, Hoya , and Hatton, a combined total of 50 mill for all three fights .. Arum would not agree, so floyd bounced.

neither is rios. both of them have hype behind them but neither of them alone are enough to make headlines. together they made the fight great, tis isnt a case of one fighter having more drawing power than the other, sure rios probably has more, but he isnt exactly close to becoming a mega star, not at all.

the way rios fights and expresses himself is the way he makes fans. He already has a strong following in cali in texas too we love rios. Both guys are good but i think rios has a bigger crowd and his style of fighting wins fans more easily.......
