Yeah 20 straight title defenses, but how many elite fighters did Hopkins beat during that streak? The most impressive thing about Hopkins career is longevity.

Potentially if he keeps up this level of competition for another 5 years at best. Fights with:

          Anthony Dirrell
          Andre Dirrell
          Lucian Bute

          move up to 175

          Cleverly
          Cloud
          Ismael Salick
Chad Dawson (if Chad beats B. Hop then Ward beats Chad that would look really good on his resume)

          move up to cruiser

beat Lebedev (This fight means a lot for me, I want payback for that hook nosed mofo making a mockery out of RJJ and Toney).

You're the one who brought up title defenses. 20 straight is impressive but the level of competition was less than stellar. I love B-Hop but some of his biggest wins came against smaller fighters I.e. Trinidad, DLH, and Wright. You really put Roy Jones on that list lmao. Pascal was better than that version of Roy.

Possibly, absolutely stellar start too his career though, better then Hopkins start anyway, he's still young and has plenty of fights ahead.

Ward could have stayed at 160, and cleaned it out, but he moved up to 168 to participate in the Super Six. That I give him credit for.

Ward could potentially have on his resume: Martinez, Pirog, Strum, Golovkin, etc. up to 20 all on his resume. Which would look as similar to Hopkins.

the real question is, can he find some two divisions smaller cash cows to make a ton a money beating up to overrated accolades...
