HBO reported the live airing did great without stressing a particular figure, Rafael later tweeted it did 3.2 million, added to that the replay did 1.2 million. Replays can be added into the total number.Comment

I just asked Dan Rafael about a minute ago. He responded "I have never said anything like that and have no idea what you are talking about."

The writer here is sceptical of the numbers like you but he mentions Rafael mentioned it (on his chat thought not a tweet). In fact he actually says Dan said it may have done over 3 million INCLUDING same day replays. I was assuming the replay hadn't been added. Since the replay viewership is so high I figured the live airing must have done much better.I just asked Dan Rafael about a minute ago. He responded "I have never said anything like that and have no idea what you are talking about."

The guy writing the article is fairly opinion based in his writings though so he might have added the "same day replay" part himself.

Quote: There are no concrete numbers on what the Klitschko vs Haye live airing did. At one point, Dan Rafael of ESPN.com mentioned in one of his weekly chats that HBO was very happy with the number, and floated a possible number of three million or more for live + same-day replay.
What's going on with this then?Last edited by croz; 03-05-2012, 05:53 PM.Comment
