How the hell is Thompson the #1 mandatory? What has he done to deserve it? So now its either fight him again in a fight nobody wants to see or loose the belt. ******ed.

Right, because the NFL and the NBA didn't exist in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s....

I know when I watch an NBA game, I always say, "Woah, look at all those potential heavyweight champions!"

And Tony Thompson is about the same height as Wladimir.

Thompson gave Wlad a tough fight.

Thompson isn't really great, but he's a huge tricky southpaw.

I just checked and according to compubox TT landed more punches than Wlad until that 11th round KO.

That's just compubox but Tony did a lot better than Vaginaye for exemple, the bottler who is begging again for an undeserved shot against a slower Vitali who is showing his age.

Basketball and NFL did suck up the HW american talent. People who go against this theory come up with ****** questions like 'well where were they in the 70s and 90's eras???.. LOL

Rid**** Bowe was a premier linebacker and running back along with being a boxer, he just decided to go Pro as a boxer. Lennox Lewis was a huge footballer, (soccer) during his teen years but decided to abandon that to do boxing. Moorer played basketball AND football during his high school years but decided to stick to boxing.

ALL 3 will be in a different sport in this era. Because in this era Rid**** Bowe would never have left foot ball since that is the far easier meal ticket and more glamorous. HW Boxing was huge even up to the early 2000's. The Lewis Tyson fight was literally talked about on every radio and every sporting network in the united states.

Imagine the likes of a young Lebron James as a HW, Ray Lewis, Kobe Bryant, DWIGHT HOWARD. Klitschkos are just lucky the HW division died so they are left with bums who couldn't make it to the NFL or basketball.

I seriously think you guys need to read the whole article and interview, Tony's very respectful and nice towards both brothers. I actually think the opposite about this fight, II don't think Wlad stops him earlier, I believe this goes the distance, given that Tony's become a better offensive fighter as of late, and he has more experience on the top level. Thompson is really savvy, and slick defensively so if he manages to get hurt, he'll find a way to get out of trouble. Could be wrong, but I think that's how this one plays out. Hey, atleast we know Tony WILL come to fight his ass off, which does indeed say alot more than some other dudes......

Thompson is comically slow imagine watching him vs Sam Peter in slow motion.

This argument is really when you deconstruct it the same as trying to claim that the guys who are the best boxers now wouldn't be if some imaginary boxer did exist because he would be the best due to his imaginary athletic ability in my mind and all of the skills he would have if I didn't just make him up and he was real.

Wow just imagine how Ali would have been nothing if some really tough guy who worked in a vodka distillery or was a turnip farmer in Russia was a boxer.

Thompson, Haye, They ALL Say The Same Thing; But Who Have They Beaten?!!?

All these Heavyweight contenders are stiffs. Until we see another youthful looking machine along the lines of a young Mike Tyson or a young Evander Holyfield, lets not even report comments from tomato cans like Thompson, Haye, Mormeck, and Company.

Thompson seems a well-spoken individual, unusual in the boxing world of big mouthed fools. Just listen to Goosen, when a Promoter says "I'm not exaggerating" I suppose we have to believe him...eh?? And when a fighter says "I know in my heart" what we really know is that he's trying to convince himself. I think however that he's right, Klitschko won't give up one of the belts they both wanted so much.

What I remember of Thompson that he was a very mechanical, lustreless kind of boxer, but competent. I don't think competency will be enough.
