If you knew the real circumstances surrounding that Tokyo fight you'd understand that Tyson was fated to lose. And it didn't help that Tyson lacked his usual energy and Douglas put on a once-in-a-lifetime performance. The 15 second count on Douglas was just extra. Yes it was 42-1. Some gamblers must have make a fortune.

Yeah, not saying Spinks was bad at heavyweight but Holmes was past it at that point, and while a good win for Tyson it doesn't stand out now. I'll be honest, Tyson doesn't have a win that just jumps out to me. He has a few good wins, maybe very good wins, but nothing that just makes me look back and say wow.Comment

yea, but heavyweights in the past such as prime tyson actually trained like maniacs & threw a wide range of punches. you hold tyson on the inside & be prepared for crushing body punches & explosive uppercuts.
tysons favorite combo was on the inside. in the clinch he could throw a body shot & immediately explode with a uppercut to the head.
these guys today just don't fight like that nore do they train like that............Last edited by americanbot; 03-05-2012, 01:10 PM.Comment

wlad would die..........you guys are morons. tyson was a very powerful explosive fighter. if thats your only defense against him on the inside (pulling head down & pray that he won't hit you) prepare for wlad to die.............Comment
