TS has a point. At first I thought cotto would want it, but cotto can **** with 10Oz while Floyd probably can't. That means he can hurt floyd possibly while floyd is less likely to hurt him. However if both went to 8oz, both benefit while cotton benefits more with 10.

Floyd did not look impressive vs DLH @ 154, it's true what the commentators were saying. Cotto's got the best jab and boxing ability at 154, point blank period. Floyd can't hurt Cotto and Cotto can hurt him. If Floyd still ran like he used to I would say UD but those days are over and he''ll be forced to mix it up with Miguel, especially because like the other knowledgeable poster said -- Cotto can/will go southpaw on Floyd. Cotto is underrated in his boxing ability and his timing + speed. It's the reason why Steward fell in love with him and Pac + Shane said he can beat Floyd. Remember floyd uses xylocaine so his hand dont hurt so i say its disadvantage to cotto! Cotto should use some xylocaine against floyd

Bingo! Cotto will have to eat a lot of leather to get to Floyd anyway so it matters what is going back at him. Floyd proved in the De la Hoya fight he can't punch with 10oz gloves so they should go by the rules and use 10oz gloves.

Cotto also swells and cuts easily. 8oz gloves is in no way, shape or form an advantage for Cotto
