John and Jimmy are still Pete's managers. Al Haymon is now acting as an advisor.

      F I N A L L Y ! ! !

Petey is everything pro boxing needs to rejuvenate it from a bootleg pro wrestling wanna-be back to the glory days where the middleweight division contended with a powerful heavyweight division.

Let's see what reasons are given for current strap holders to not face The Kid Chocolate after he continues to prove he is worthy.

good move for Quillin, at least he'll be making money but as for fighting any threats, I doubt it.

Haymon doesn't like risking his guys, he'd rather string them along against bums and have HBO hype his guys up, just look at Broner. he bearly eeks by journeyman Ponce de Leon then fights 2 bums and picks up a strap in the process and HBO is all over his nuts.

Haymon will do the same with Quillin. the good Euro middleweights like Proska, Pirog, Golovkin and N'Jikam are high risk/ low reward. Martinez but I doubt that fight will be made until he declines. we all know about Chavez.

personally I think Haymon will advise him to move back up to 168 and get into the mix up there. Kessler and Pavlik are probably the easiest big name targets up at 168. but I suspect he'll fight a few Andrade type fighters before he gets into the mix.

Quillin being a Haymon fighter now. Being a Golden Boy fighter now. And, Golden Boy attorney now runs Showtime sports. So expect a lot Quillin vs stiffs on Showtime.

Just cos it is always worth repeating:

Al Haymon - great for his boxers, bad for boxing.

This is not just Al Haymon though. It is Haymon, it is being a Golden Boy fighter as well. And, Golden Boy former attorney running Showtime sports. Quillin can be matched with scrubs and Showtime will televise it.

I don't even think he'll need to go to Showtime, HBO will happily place him on a Broner/Russell card.

I like Quillin so this is good with me. Too bad Andy Lee didn't want any part of a fight with Quillin.

Skill wise, I still think Quillin is one of the top MW's. With so many other fighters busy at the moment, I think Quillin-Angulo would be good for the May-Cotto undercard, though I odubt Angulo would take it, as he'd be out classed by Peter.
