Ducking Floyd will have his first lose based Cotto's hard punches.

Floyd dont usually come out hard and fast as he knows his fights usually last 12 rounds and he wants to have enough gas at the end, giving the illusion he figures his opponents out.

He dont want to blow himself out early and fade late on, giving the impression his opponents have figured him out.

I agree.....hitting Mayweather's shoulders is just setting yourself up to get countered continuously. Either that or you tire out from ineffective punches.

Hard punches? Let me ask you this....How many of Mayweathers opponents have punched HARDER than him? How many of them have defeated him?

this is why the shoulder "plan" won't work.

I disagree, the fighters that have done that have only hit floyd's shoulders because they were trying to hit his chin and he rolled his shoulder so his shoulder didnt' take a direct impact. That's not the same. I'm talking about hitting his shoulder blade and trying to dislocate his shoulder like he did to that other fighter. It doesn't take much force to break someeones collar bone and it's perfectly legal in the sport of boxing.

You should hit the gym, get in the ring with him, and you do it

That's not a shoulder punch in that video that's a missed punch aimed at the chin that floyd uses his shoulder to avoid. Even a stiff jab to the shoulder blade is more effective than a missed one to the chin. Someone who's been in the ring knows that a missed punch takes way more energy that one landed or partially landed anywhere on the body.

A+ for innovation, but when that most likely doesn't work, what are you left with?

I've been boxing most of my life and have been in the ring with a few pretty good fighters who were pretty fast and plenty that tried to emulate floyd...granite that's not the same as being in there with him and none truely successfully emulate his stile.

All I'm saying is that someone who's a smart fighter knows that if someone has good head movement and good defense you aim your punches to parts of the body that don't move and that they're not used to defending like the chest, shoulder, top of the head. This really shouldn't be that outrageous of an idea for people that know boxing
