    Guzman is 33.not 35.

Same thing with la hiena Barrios way to close to call it a clear victory. Having said that Gusman have a good set of skills and would conpeat with anybody @ 140 not necessarly would win.

He definitely lost the first fight to Funeka.
You must be out of your mind , guzman vs soto was at the borgata Atlantic city and against barrios was in las Vegas , both fight were clear wins , at least 8-4 , guzman was just gettin some rounds , shaking off the rust , it was good work , watch round 6 again , hell be champ again later this year or next ...

The only thing impressive here is that a Guzman thread has more than 5 comments. He beats a bum and all of a sudden he can take on the best and there is a "Puerto Rican vs Dominican rivalry"....uhhh yeah.

Guzman looked ok a bit slower than I am used to seeing him, I think he was trying to get some rds in and could have finished it earlier but finished impressively when Pabon opened up. Now he should probably fight the winner of next weeks FNFs main event and hopefully that will get him a title shot.

That is fine, his recorded D.O.B is May 1, 1976. Which makes him 35, and 36 in May.

I can't believe peole are claiming Guzman-Soto was really close and that it was in the Dominican Republic.....it was in Jersey. The Barrios fight was in Vegas, and the Fuekna fights were in Canada and Vegas as well.

Guzman is slower at this stage in his career, definitely not what he was from 2004-2008/2009, and his relfexes have faded a bit, but I still think he can be a legit fighter in a bit of an overrated JWW division.

Khan and Bradley beat him hands down and with ease I think. Peterson, it's a close fight but I'd favor Lamont 60-40 probably. Matthysse and Maidana are close fights as well, but I'd still probably favor them over Guzman at this stage. Morales, Judah, Garcia, Paris, Alvarado, I can see Guzman potentially being a real problem for them. Judah, who relied on relfexes and speed, isn't what he was either 5-6 years ago. And obviously the same goes for Morales. Paris hasn't really beaten anyone, his best win was Tim Coleman and he looked pretty good aside from that 2nd round right hand from Coleman. Alvarado relies on his size and power to break you down mostly, which would be a pretty good style match up for Joan. And I'm still not sure on Danny Garcia. He was out boxed by Theophane in a questionable win.

So, there are peole Guzman can be competitive with at 140.
