so if you do the math its quite simple

in 2011 Pac grossed around 60 million from boxing alone (not including endoresemnts)

in 2011 floyd grossed around 30 million from boxing alone

Theres a reason why Pac is called the greatest cash cow the sport has ever seen.
      Nice math...

The article says Floyd made $115 mil from 4 fights which is 28.75mil per fight. While Manny made $30 mil his last fight, so Pac is making that kind if money.

Sure Floyd might make a few percent more doing it this way but unless Floyd is physically selling the t shirts and hotdogs and arranging security and setting up the lights and negotiating with tv in 168 countries, he is paying people to organize people to do all this stuff. Those people all have to be paid.

Manny pays one guy to do all this and Front the cash for all this, while Floyd pays a bunch of different people and fronts the cash himself. Doesn't change the fact that it costs a ****load to put a fight together.

It's a matter of whether you wanna make a couple of mil more and have to worry about a bunch of stuff or get a bit less and have it all taken care of.

Personally I'd rather have someone else do all the worrying. Afterall with Floyd ******** away 100s of 1000s a day, one fight does really badly and
he's on the streets. Not that it's likely but you never know .

Mayweather made $40 mil, at least according to numerous sources and his team.....that's Mayweathers take home $40 mil....the others are paid with whats left over.....which if you do your math, the Ortiz fight generated more than $40 mil. Probably another $55 to $60 mil split up amongst others. In Pacs case VisionQuest audit found him to be only worth 26 mil dollars, how did that happen to a guy who has generated of $300 mil in PPV sales, oh maybe because they found unreported PPV, missing money, etc. If you look at the Mosley fight, it shows how Pac's getting screwed...I don't know how u can be a Pac fan and not be upset with it. Bob stated with PPV Manny can make $20 mil for the fight, he was guar. $6 mil for his fight purse, which means he was given $14 mil from other revenue...out of that, he has to pay his expenses....which may explain his cash advances and his trainer Freddie Roach stating Pacquiao is broke.

Difference is that's what Floyd is taking home $115(minus income tax), where as Pacquaio is getting $30 and paying out his promoter, trainer, entourage, advisor, tax, etc......dude is getting ****d sorry, it is what it is.

Mayweather is a money-making machine whose nickname of “Money” is quite appropriate. His fights gross upwards of $100 million in total pay-per-view, gate and other revenue. His September bout against Victor Ortiz which ended a 16-month hiatus generated 1.25 million PPV buys worth $78.4 million in revenue. Mayweather pocketed nearly $40 million for the fight.

He has appeared in the three biggest non-heavyweight PPV bouts in boxing history which have generated a combined $293 million in PPV revenue. He was second on our 2010 list of the highest paid athletes in the world with $65 million in earnings in the 12-months ending June 2010 (he didn’t make the 2011 list thanks to his boxing hiatus). Mayweather’s fights are so lucrative for him because he also acts as promoter and can earn 50% of the PPV gross for his bouts.

$115mil from his last 4 fights read the article again. It says he expects to make $40mil from the Ortiz fight. Where a you getting $115mil from one fight? And how can anyone be ****** enough to think that self promoting makes that much difference?

IIRC Roger is capped out at 200k a fight. Don't imagine Ellerbe is making THAT much money comparatively in the long run either. The only people I could see making somewhat a lot of money are Haymon and GBP. Not sure how it works with Haymon, but GBP is paid a flat rate for the work they put in co-promoting and doing all of the work with the undercard and stuff.

Meaning Floyd would need to drop that model for the Pac fight
sounds like Mannys problem to be honest Floyd gets WAY more money per fight..and Manny would make alot more without Arum he really doesnt need him.
