Ive said this before, and Manny P is gonna call me a nuthugger because according to him Im only saying this to make Wlad not look as bad, but Corrie Sanders. The man had incredible power and handspeed and was a southpaw. He had enough power to knock out any of the greats in the 90's. Only problem was desire, he didnt care about boxing all that much and didnt train very hard.. came into fights out of shape.

            Huge chin, huge power.

We were robbed of a lot of great fights with that traqedy.
good call, i was just reading an interview story with gerald not too long ago, what happened to him and how he lives now is enough to make you sick.

Anorak, I'm not sure what you mean.

Stars as in boxing ability? Or exciting guys like Gatti?

The thing people forget about Gatti is that He was actually a very skilled boxer when He was coming up through the pro ranks.

He wasn't very marketable so He changed his style to be more brawling and it's just his nature to beat up the other guy when He is getting beat up.

Bernard "Superbad" Mays. Except that his alcoholism killed him.

Yeah, what I'm saying - and this is my fault for not explaining it clearly - is not boxers that didn't achieve their full potential.

I'm talking about boxers who DID achieve their potential but for whatever reason never became big media darlings. Pretty boy De La Hoya could fart and we'd all be talking about it, but even when Glen Johnson laid out Roy there was still some reluctance to acknowledge him as a star player.

Actually, there's another - Antonio Tarver. Even though he was the man to shatter Roy's chi, er, legacy, he still hasn't become the big star, has he?
