His HBO debut ended impressively, a second-round technical knockout of Timur Ibragimov. And now Seth Mitchell is ready to return to the network, fighting on HBO on April 28 against Chazz Witherspoon.

This would have been a great ESPN or SHOBOX fight, but HBO?

I like this fight for Mitchell. I think it is a good test for him to see where he is at in his career.

I will say that Holyfield was fighting elite competition very early in his career. Not sure why he was mentioned. But, to be fair Holyfield had a much much greater amateur background. And, I got the point that he was trying to make overall.

Smart man, obviously since he is a College grad.

It is not an HBO main event. It is an HBO opener. What is wrong with that?

Exactly, but honestly man people always have to find something to complain about. Here we have an undefeated powerhouse in Seth Mitchell. He comes in rock solid shape, and has put on exciting performance after exciting performance, especially his last fight against Ibragimov. On top of that like he already mentioned, he has more or less no amateur experience, and has been boxing for only about 5 years PERIOD. He's still young for a heavyweight, and there's plenty of time for him to improve.

I think Mitchell is going to deliver an awesome knockout of Chazz. I think this is actually a step down in competition after having destroyed the very durable Timur Ibragimov last time out. That being said, it will have to be an exceedingly good fight to make up for the abomination that hopkins dawson ii will likely be.

witherspoon is a decent opponent. he's lost to thompson & arreola but is still a decent boxer. witherspoon is the same level as ibragimov. ibragimov is a C+ level fighter & so is witherspoon. both those guys will beat the solid journeymen but can't get up to that next level. both thompson & arreola are top 10 HW's so he can't underestimate chazz witherspoon. mitchell should win by knockout because of chazz tries to slug it out when instead he should box. mitchell will take his time & overwhelm witherspoon by the 6th round.
