Puerto Rican super featherweight Luis 'The Craftsman' Cruz (19-1, 15KOs), who lost in his last fight to undefeated Mexican Juan Carlos Burgos on November 12, has hired Cuban trainer Pedro Luis Diaz, who replaces Puerto Rican coach Freddie Trinidad. Cruz hopes to return in mid to late April.

Cruz dumbass, didnt threw enough punches, thats why he lost.

Everytime he lead and threw, he was in controll. But him trying to be a counter puncher and imitate JMM got him a L!!

Cruz is just not a good fighter. Diaz will maximize his potential but his ceiling is that of a paper champ.

Pedro must not at any means leave Cotto unattended.

Same way Roger doesn't leave Floyd unattended at all.

Team Cotto has to have that mentality to at least make it competitive.

But definitively good move by Cruz!!!

Awful performance against Burgos. He fought almost the whole fight completely open with his arms down. Good move changing trainer but he has to make serious adjustments if he wants to reivindicate. Juanma Lopez and Rocky Martinez should do the same. Both are good fighters with excellent potencial but they are in need of a good trainer.

good move by cruz but I don't think its a good idea for cotto to have training camp at the same time being they have the same trainer. cotto needs pedro 100%
