This is a sticky situation, but maybe floyd does have some validity. I wonder if Tiger Woods wouldve gotten so much hype back in the day if he werent black/asian?

The fact that you compared when Jeremy Lin is doing to what Tiger Woods did in Pro Golf is ignorant. Tiger Woods, from 1997-2008, was the greatest golfer ever. I don't care if he never passes Jack on the majors list, Tiger Woods from 97-08 was the GOAT in Golf. Jeremy Lin is a pretty good point guard, who can score, is a sub-par defender, and turns the ball over way way way too much.

Comparing Tiger Woods' hype to Jeremy Lin's hype is like comparing Gerry Cooney to Muhammad Ali's, in terms of hype. It's just FLAT OUT WRONG.

The hype and I do mean hype.. Had a lot to do with him being Asian American. He is a mediocre to good player. Teams are going to make him start to play more in a half court set like the Heat did and he will look lost. Never mentioning most of the point guards he was guarding was scoring just as many points. Funny how they tried to compare him setting a scoring record against current and former NBA stars that came into the league from high school and college. Lin has been in the league a year and a half. Only making it a footnote that he holds the NBA record for most turnovers in a 7 game span. There is a reason he is no longer in Dallas and GS. New York will find out soon the reason he wasn't drafted.

It's funny that they say he isn't creating that many turnovers anymore, well guess what, he's not handling the ball that much anymore.

What I don't understand is how can someone be a PG in the NBA and not know how to dribble with both hands. How does that happen?

Yeah, but race has played a part in everything in like forever. Fact of the matter is that Tiger Woods was/is a great golfer, end of story.

As time went on people focused less on his race and more on his amazing golf skills the man is great at what he does

Jeremy Lins is getting praise for coming off the bench and producing extreme numbers just like previous HOF players.. Lin turned that team around and made NY watchable again considering their sloooooow start to the season and the injuries to their key players..

If Baron Davis came off the bench and produced the same numbers Lin has been dishing out and turned the Knicks around we would be dealing with Davisanity..
