  • Comments Thread For: Mayweather: I View Miguel Cotto as Being Undefeated

WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) considers his May 5th opponent, WBA 154-pound champion Miguel Cotto (37-2, 30KOs), as being undefeated. Mayweather doesn't count Cotto's two career defeats, a TKO in eleven to Antonio Margarito in 2008 and a TKO in twelve to Manny Pacquiao in 2009.

Cotto got beat fair and square by both Tony and Pac
    he's just not that good
he got revenge on Tony with some help from Pac
but that doesn't prove Tony did anything shady in the 1st fight
his damn face just fell apart in the rematch
and Cotto was just fine at 145, Pac simply destroyed him
Cotto is a decent win for Floyd, no need to try hyping him up

What proves that Tony did shady is that picture Miguel showed of the identical wraps from the Mosley fight. I can't just say something like that is coincidence.

haha! this is really happening. Floyd fans are going now going to argue Cotto after all these years is actually undefeated, and only because floyd says so!

Facts, logic, and the truth will be dismissed, all on account of floyd and his minions and their crusade.

This thread is gonna be amazing to read

I'm more intrigued than excited for this fight! I'm a fan of both fighter, but to think that for the next couple of months, I'm gonna have to put of with all the nonsense dished out by the *****s and *******s....... already pisses me off.

          The good:
          - Cotto in my opinion represent more of a danger than: Sosa, Ndou, Corley, Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell, Judah, Baldomir, ODH, Marquez, Mosley and Ortiz (His opponents since 2003). But the way.. how can you be P4P fighting this bunch????

The bad: There is a reason why Floyd picked Cotto.... the same reason why he picked his past opponents.... he is a HEAVY favorite to win.

The reality: This is nothing but a warm up for the Manny showdown. You need proof, check out how Floyd will bring up Manny on every interview. However, Floyd is 35 and more stationary than the past... and Cotto has only lost or struggled against guys that put pressure. He has underated boxing skills, wonderful timing and decent movement. At the end of the day it may translate into a boring UD for Mayweather... which I don't think will take chances.

I wish this would have a taste of Trinidad vs ODH or any other Huge event in which fans were equally divided on who will win. But this is not the case.... the fight is a showcase of two of the biggest in the sport.... but with 6 to 1 odds... it's not much of a competition.

Let's just put it this way.. if Cotto wins is a big upset. Enough said.... that tells you all you need to know of how much of an equal match this is.

If floyd would have accpeted the challenge of Martinez or Pacman... I would be more pumped up. But I'm happy... Cotto is a warrior and he will give us our PPV worth.

after the 1st fight, Tony took his gloves off
he stayed in the ring to celebrate and be interviewed
he wouldn't do that with illegal shit there for the world to see
people need to get over that fight
Cotto just plain got beat, and now he got some payback
            it's pretty much settled

Even if we accept the premise that Tony and Pacquiao are cheaters, it only makes Floyd look worse (and dumber for suggesting it).

You're fighting a guy who has been beat down with bricks and beat down by a roid freak.

That means hes even more damaged than we all thought and you're fighting him Floyd!

Funny but when Cotto was undefeated, Mayweather wouldn't fight him. There were times I enjoyed Mayweather in the ring but I wish the press ignored when he opens his mouth, it isn't hard to do.

why would he just happen to start using them against mosley?

there's also video of pacquiao illegally stacking his wraps with gauze, tape, gauze, tape.
                  link please?
