The NY Times article details floyds business model and the buiness relationship between him and GBP. Floyd puts up the funds, they have the staff and infastructure to do the day to day things.

So are you saying that GBP doesnt promote Floyd's fights on a fight to fight basis? I've read the NY Times article. It says they work with Floyd on a fight to fight basis and in no way is he under contract with GBP. They are promoters and DO promote Floyd's fights though.

GBP does not promote floyd. Floyd uses his resources and he uses GBP personnel and infrastructure. Obviously, GBP gets to advertise at any event they provide services for.

Keep thinking that. Nobody in Pac's position would agree to it, NOBODY

But he will agree to go fight somebody for way less i mean way less. And also the time he turned down the Mayweather fight to go fight Clottey and visionquest said he didn't even get paid for that fight. So Pac wants to fight Mayweather so bad that he turns him down to fight for way less money and one fight he didn't even get paid for it that makes perfect sense lol

          May 5th cant wait !!!!!!!!

Errr, Floyd is probably also making less money not fighting Pac... takes two to make a fight.
If two people are equal business partners and contribute to the profits equally, they should have equal earnings from the business. It's irrelevant where they come from or how much they've made in the past.

Errr... you can tell when people are just blindly defending floyd at all cost regardless of what the truth is...

"If I offered him $30 million, he should be happy," Mayweather said. "If I offered him $30 million and I didn't give money on the back end, why should I? He's with Arum right now, and they're having problems. It's obvious he must not be getting money on the back end."

He is saying that because that's what Arum is giving Pacquiao but dumbasses cant see it. Arum offers Pacquiao a fight guarantee that is different from your purse. this has been posted with NSAC pacquiao biggest puse was about 7 million but he might be guaranteed 20 million. The 20 million is what is guaranteed for the whole fight Pac already has his purse of 7 million so Arum owes him 13 million more. 7million purse +13 million= 20million guarantee get it. But if the fight sells 1 mill PPV where does that money and the gate and all of that go? the fight might have grossed 100 million. Arum gave Pac his 20 million so the 80 million that's left goes to Arum. When you look at it it's just a flat fee Arum gives Pac a flat fee. It's ok for Arum to do it though right?

I'll repost and highlight, bold, and italic the part that clearly answers your question. When I clearly state I haven't so that's why I don't talk about who gets what...

I'll repost what I wrote on another thread because it applies to your comments... Just a quick question though have you seen Manny's and Arum's contract for some bases for what you write??? Let alone have you seen Floyd's contract with De La Hoya??? I haven't so I don't comment on stuff like that but hell why let something like facts get in the way when talking about things you know nothing about right....

Once and for all clowns Arum is Manny's promoter.... Just like he was Ali's promoter, Leonard's promoter, Foreman's promoter, Hagler's promoter, and etc. etc. Golden Boy is Mayweather's promoter... So it's a FACT that they both have promoters... It is also a FACT that none of you idiots seen the contracts between Top Rank and Pacquiao or Golden Boy and Mayweather... What we do know for a FACT is Mayweather rejected a 50/50 split... BTW this dude is talking about sharp knives... Manny is on his way to a Nike/Jordan deal and Congress... Mayweather has NO Endorsements and is on his way to JAIL.... FACT.... All this who is who's Boss is BS for clowns... Both of these guys have top notch lawyers to protect their interest... The only guy that's going to have a boss is Mayweather because in jail you're a little B and the man (officers and the warden) will be telling Mayweather what to do....

What "dumbasses" can't see is that all that is irrelevant. What does it matter how much Pac made before? If a Pac contributes to half the fight's profits, then he should get half the profits.
This is the dumbest **** ever. If you did half the work to make a million dollar business, would it be right for your equal business partner to say, "be happy with $80,000 since you weren't making anymore than $20,000 before".

On another note, why is Floyd "giving" Pac anything? He's not his employer. This is a business partnership. Pac is not seeking employment with Floyd.
