come on bro...Cotto's 2nd loss was in 2009. Its 2012. I do agree that Mayweather let all the welterweight beat each other up which upset me alot cuz I think if he woulda swallowed his ego and negotiated with Top Rank (who had mIMO the best welterweights at the time), we would've gotten Floyd-Margarito & Floyd-Cotto back in 2008. We got screwed and I too thought Floyd was ducking but after all of this Arum BS going on, the tides have turned and I blame Arum for nearly everything now. I blame Floyd & Arum for Pac-FLoyd not happening.

Huge Cotto fan, but I honestly dont think Floyd ever ducked Cotto, on the contrary, I think it was Arums fault this fight was never made earlier. I dont think Cotto or Mayweather have ever been afraid of each other. If Arum wasnt in the picture this fight would have happened a long time ago. Guaranteed.

That's all in the past now though. I'm just glad they're fighting now.

of course he did look at the facts. and sorry cotto watching the gatti-mayweather fight and looking "scared" is not a reason the fight didn't happen. that's the story *****s came up.

arum offered floyd a career high payday but floyd demanded a 10 million guarantee to fight 140 pound cotto(floyd only got a 10 million guarantee when he fought delahoya) overpriced himself again. if arum didn't want the fight why would he offer him a career payday? makes no sense obviously. did arum know floyd was a coward and would reject it? how could arum give floyd the same guarantee that he got for delahoya? floyd was doing 400k ppvs and making 5 million a fight and cotto was no delahoya.

floyd made up a bunch of silly excuses: cotto's not a CEO, cotto lives too far away(even though he fought bruseles who is from the same place) etc...then retired when the heat was really on him to fight cotto only to return after cotto lost.

even after floyd left top rank he never attempted to make the fight. no negotiations, no offers from floyd who says he's the guy that makes offers to his opponents and not the other way around, nothing.

for people who say arum didn't want to make the fight do you ever think floyd doesn't want to work with arum and not the other way around? arum's made fights between top rank and golden boy fighters many times. floyd zero times.
