I hear you but I think you're missing what I'm saying. For starters, I believe the fight should be done 50-50. Always have. Don't really care who has done what PPV blah blah. It's just numbers. What I was trying to convey was that, I don't pretend that things exist in black and white. If I were trying to make a deal with you and asked you for something reasonable, also agreed on a split and, in turn, agreed to a stipulation you have...and then you crap all over me in the media, lie as to why you can't do what I'm asking, then walk away from the deal for no legit reason...you can't expect me to be standing there with the same paper in hand. I'd be saying kiss my ass too. Just applying real life logic.

i thought floyd did that when he took 14 days cutoff off the table and refuse to budge from it. what is going to happen next year if pacquiao agrees to 40 million? is floyd going to say no kiss my ass here is 20 million. are they just going to round and round? floyd was making every right move until this split issue. i am disappointed in both sides. if they dont fight i expect both legacies to take a hit from it.

You really believe Floyd's demands for more money is based on the idea of him feeling slighted for Pac not agreeing to the drug testing? Really, dude?

OK, let's go by your "real life logic" - what kind of man demands another cede to this one request (more or less unprecedented in (boxing) history), slanders him continuously for not agreeing to this request, promotes t-shirts demanding the other man accept this request....

The issue here is this.

Manny is serious and ready about taking the fight. (I don't commend him for this, as he's been content to fight over-matched opponents for a while now).

The issue is - why isn't Floyd all over this? Why isn't he content to take 50% of a huge pot and whoop on Pac (like most think he will).

Why is he adding a further complication to the plot?

I mean, a 38 year old JMM just showed up Pac.

Floyd should be all over this fight, it's his for the taking.

He didn't do that because Manny hadn't walked away when he said 14. So that analogy doesn't apply. I said you can't come back and expect the same terms after that. They were still negotiating, albeit with a mediator.

LOL. After ALL those excuses his promoter came up with for a potential May 5 fight, Manny is ready and serious to make a fight? Please. And I wasn't happy when Floyd started talking about the money issue, I wasn't. But let's not act like Manny had all but signed his name on the paper because that is CLEARLY not the issue. Manny wasn't dying to make the fight, he just wasn't. Manny was telling the press how Floyd should fight him in late May for more money when Manny and his team KNEW that Floyd couldn't fight after May 5.
