He couldn't handle a defense southpaw. It happens.

Go find someone who will stand in front of you without clinching. Rios, Matthysse, Alvarado, Mabuza.

I posted be4 the bout he was vastly over-rated & would be dominated & he will NEVER b a threat to any champ...he lacks 2 much in 2 many areas...

Its a shame that maidana lost.. had maidana won and if Ortiz beats Berto then we could have seen a rematch between Ortiz and maidana..but Rios vs maidana @ 140 is really good too.

Maidana is just great to watch cause he brings it on & leaves it all out in the ring..No matter how bad of beating he's getting, he's all heart & just keeps on trying to win & he always has a punchers chance & that's what makes him good to watch no matter who he fights...

Alexander implemented the perfect game plan. We are all aware of Maidana's flaws. **** most of us knew his flaws the first time we ever saw the motha****a. Still, that didn't change the fact that he gave motha****as hell inside of that ring. Thus, showing that he isn't complete ****. I don't know why guys up in hurrrr thread are talking about him like he's ****. He isn't the most technically sound, but to say he's a bum is ******ed. He looked a little flabby at 147, but all credit to Alexander for implementing the right game plan. Fighters sometimes hit Maidana rather easily, which gets them somewhat trigger happy. That's exactly when Maidana unleashes his bombs, and catches you in the middle of punching. Alexander didn't allow him to catch him because he didn't throw in combos much. Even Roy brought this up. He didn't get trigger happy, but he sure did hit Maidana extremely ****ing hard urrrytime he let a punch go, as opposed to say Khan who threw flurries, rather than sit on his punches. I'm still not sold on Alexander as a fighter I can get behind, but the motha****a sure did make a name for himself at 147, despite neither of them ever fighting at 147 pre thurrr fight.
