He's just used to being a lot bigger in fight, which is just him losing his weight advantage.

Maidana has never been more than 150 pounds in jr welterweight and his opponents have been about the same. That's an average fight night weight for that weight class. He hasn't had any weight advantage.

The weight is not what beat Marcos...it was his one-dimensional style and execution which I don't think he can ever change. He may win a vacant belt again one day, but I doubt he can beat any of the A-list fighters at 140 or 147... just sayin...

Maidana needs to learn how to take a backstep and then come in. That way, fighters won't be able to grab him like Alexander did. It's a simple move, but guys like Maidana just can't do it.

In the Alexander "the bum" - Maidana fight weight didn't matter (he did look slow as ****), "it burns" fought good, i still think he is a b- level fighter, nothing more.

Would love to see Maidana fight the Garcia-Morales winner in July/August. Maidana is still good, Alexander was just all wrong for him that night.
