  • Let me ask all you Pac fans a question. Do you think Pacquaio got 50 percent of the profit in his last fight against Marquez or his fights against Margarito, Mosley, Clottey or Cotto? The answer is hell no! He got paid $6 to 10 million, which amounted to perhaps 10 percent of the actual profitts that those fights generated. He won't get 50 percent against Bradley either. He will get slightly more than the $5 to 10 million he has been receiving, but 80 percent of he revenue will still go into Bob Arum's pocket, including 27 percent of Pac's actual purse.

If Pac is not getting paid 50 percent of the profit right now when he is the only draw on the PPV card, what makes you think he deserve 50 percent against Mayweather? Mayweather is right. Pacquaio is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He has allowed Arum to throw him crumbs for the last four years compared to the amount he actually generates. Yet, when he has a chance to get the amount he deserves ($40 million plus) against Mayweather, he allows Arum and Arum's errand boy, Koncz, to convince him to walk away because of Arum's greed and his hatred of Mayweather. That $40 million that Mayweather offered Pac is $25 million more than he has earned against anyone else he has ever fought. He will realize what a fool he was for walking away from the fight for the second time after Tim Bradley taxes his a.s.s on June 9. After that, Pac will not only lose out on the $40 million guarantee, he will be lucky to get the $6 million Arum has been throwing his way for his last five fights when he faces Marquez for a fourth time or Brandon Rios in what will likely be his last fight.

And to even further your ignorance, u name Hagler and Leonard as guys that would fight in a heartbeat cause they're legends....yet it took over half a decade for them to fight each other. Again, this business has been around before Floyd and will be afterwards.

I'm convinced this debate isn't about who would win the fight in the ring anymore. Pac fans are content with trying to win the PR battle. Real fans say if u want to be the man, beat the man. Floyd wanted Oscar's golden money spot and he went and took it by buying out of his contract and adhering to every single demand of Oscar's. I would love to find one single post stating Oscar was scared for controlling the demands....I'll wait.

The person who has the gold (I'm referring to generating and controlling the money, not those useless catchweight belts that Pac won) is Floyd Mayweather. Therefore, Mayweather makes the rules. Pac can either live by them or continue to fight for $6 million per fight until someone like Bradley or Brandon Rios exposes him. At that time, Arum will drop him like a hot rock and Pac will spend the rest of his career fighting on ESPN in the hopes of getting back to the top and getting one last big payday......of $6 million.

This figure is questionable coz we don't really know what he got, this may have only been declared publicly for TAX purpose, but Manny's true net income will only be known by Manny himself... Now just to go along with your logic, let's just say that Manny really only gets 6mil out of his 20mil profit due to cuts that only you *****s knows, then that would make the 40mil guarantee by Floyd would only leave Manny just 12mil for himself... Then isn't it good business to get 50% out of a potential 250-280mill superfight???!!! For he will surely receive more than 12mill for this...

                    Translation for the above is:
"Floyd was the reason that the fight didn't happen so him being my hero, I need to defend him at all cost"

Wake up ... Floyd said "take the test and we have a fight". You and other fans defended Floyd for 2+ years on that then Floyd simply slapped you in the face with this new stumbling block and you just sat there and said THANK YOU FLOYD FOR SLAPPING ME IN THE FACE!

and 200Million(total ppv profit, gate reciept, etc) is way better than 40Million
