Those are the exact reasons why any real boxing fan has a gripe with Manny Pacquiao.

No one has denied that the little dude doesn't come to fight.

No one denies that he is exciting to watch as he puts it all out there on the line.

People are just tired of him being touted among the best when he hasn't fought the best. His fights since JMM have all been crap, and he's looking for accolades for doing things under special conditions.

Its real easy to be a fan of watching Manny. He's fun to watch. It it however really hard to honestly buy into the bull**** that Arum has attached to Manny's legacy.

    Outstanding and honest post.
I dont know who these "people" you speak of are. Pac is loved by way many more than any other fighter right now. Is Pac a HOF. Yes he is, and if you deny that then you are just being a hater. Thats like saying Floyd is not a HOF because he never fought the best in their primes as he moved up. Rubbish.

Now.... just to go down the recent list for gigs.....

    1. Shane....that was a BS fight and he deserved all the hate he got for that.

    2. Margs....didnt mind the fight as thought would be tough from a physical standpoint regardless if we though Tony didnt deserve it

    3. Clottey....A filler that was needed on the fly. No big fight happens with a couple weeks of promoting

    4. Cotto....was the best fight that could be made at the time...why is 145 Pacs fault? Had Oscar beaten Floyd...do you say that Oscar made him come up in weight, and was an unfair fight? Does this logic only apply when using for a fav fighter?

    5. Oscar....OSCAR CHALLENGED HIM AND WANTED 147!!!!!!

These fights are the ones that have put him in the spotlight on a grand scale. Both him and Floyd became household names once they fought Oscar. Fighting JMM 2x, Morales 3x, Barrera 2x, Diaz (good fight at time), Solis, ect....all top fights and the best to be made at the time. So i dont understand where you are coming from when you say "what people are tired of", and "Arum created this illusion" thinking. Im objective and will rip a fighter when he needs to be ripped, but when i see posts like this....how can one not think that the motive is just to promote and egg on the"pro" Floyd crowd?

The bar is set too low for Marquez. Idiots still insist that he won the fight just by countering and fighting backwards. He struggled hard against Floyd because he was forced to fight aggressively. Floyd wouldn't let him do the countering.

Pac's handlers really need to tell Pacman that he should be fighting like the champ that he is by staying in one spot, let JMM come in and fight as a challenger and not the other way around. Learn from Floyd who don't give a **** about the paying audience.

Roach and Pac know they lost to the better man that night and they know they will get embarrassed by Mayweather who will actually pick it up IF he needs to rather than coasting the Championship rounds.

They will avoid Mayweather until it is Pac's VERY last fight and then cash out (taking the lesser share like Pac already said he would do because he such an awesome and humble guy who does not care about money).

In the meantime..... *******s hate life!

Lederman scored it to Pac. Three judges gave it to Pac. Compubox favored Pac. Thousands who saw the replay changed their minds and now say Pac won.

Idiots don't wanna see the replay because they've made up their minds to be idiots. They'd rather not use their own brains and rely on others' opinions.

JMM was clearly fighting to survive and not to win.

Pac couldnt have said it better - hes already beat marquez 3 times - why do people need to see it a 4th time?

Also, please think about marquez, do you really want to see his face looking like this again?

I have no problem with a fourth, fifth, nth fight.

The problem I have is these two are switching places.

Pac is fighting like he's the challenger and JMM is fighting like he's the one to beat.

Do us a favor Pac. Stop worrying about the audience. Stay in one spot and do the countering. If nothing happens because the challenger is too scared to fight, so be it. Let him worry about the audience like he did in his Floyd fight.

Marquez it's 1000 times more entrataining than Pernell Withaker and we all know what he did to Chavez!

Manny and Roach if you do not want to fight marquez we understand and for all of us MEXICANS it's a moral victory and it shows who's the best!!!!
who's the best????by fighting an unknown Cuenca with 1ko on his next bout instead of fighting Sotto, Rios and Guerrero who all show their availability in fighting Marquez anytime,anywhere...Marquez is going backward on his career....Sooner he will be installed in Hall of famer list and fighting Cuenca with 1ko will surely not help his cause.....

                  KNOW YOUR BOXING.

Floyd has fought the #1 and #2 in EVERY division he's ever fought in except 140lbs ... and that was because Kostya Tszyu demanded a 60/40 split.

That alone puts Floyd's and Pacquiao's careers light years apart.

You can't compare Floyd's career to Pacquaio's for various reasons.

Floyd has always fought the best .. the best being the #1, #2 & #3 ranked fighters in any given division he's competed in.

Pacquiao padded his record with bums in southeast Asia for his first 40 fights .. while Floyd fought a HOF in just his 18th fight.

Floyd allows his opponents to come in at the division limit .. while Pacquiao stipulates "catchweights".

Floyd's biggest wins at WW came over men who were on top and winning ... while Pacquiao's best wins since JMM in 2008 all came over men who had been recently defeated and dethroned.

Floyd targets championships while Pacquiao has often sought vacant titles so to sidestep matches against champions.

But more importantly, you cannot name anyone that Floyd didn't fight aside from Bob Arum's fighters Cotto and Margarito. You do remember that Floyd gave Cotto the opportunity to fight at 140lbs, don't you?

Name a fighter that Floyd didn't fight. I dare you.

I'll say it again, big Manny fan.. But I have watched the 3rd fight numerous times, without any volume and there is now way Manny won that fight! I scored it 117-111, but can see how 4, possibly 5 rounds could be given if you are being extremely generous. BUT there is NO way that Manny won that fight and everyone who watched, other than biased HBO viewers, knows it.

Expectations was what skewed the fans regarding the third fight. Everyone believed that Manny was gonna blowout Marquez. When that didn't happen, Marquez fans wanted to give their man more credit than he deserved and Pac fans were just let down.

The fact is Freddie is right. Marquez performed better against Pac in their first two fights than in their third. The compubox numbers favored Marquez in those fights. Pac's knockdowns were the determining factors. Marquez fans and Pac haters are too blind to realize this. Dan Rafael, who scored the first two fights to Marquez, scored the third fight a draw.

If there is a fourth fight, it will have the same result but diminishing returns in terms of action unless one of them is clearly way past his prime.
