His wittiness in comparison to Floyd is less insulting and more just bigging himself up. He is not talking bad about others just giving himself compliments like Ali......Lefty

The kid has grown on me I am impressed with his ability and skill and think he has a very bright future in the sport if he keeps improving and stepping up in competition he seems willing to fight the best.

I agree he has some things he does sim but for all do purposes he is a fresh breath into boxing's lungs. I really enjoyed watching him perform both in and out of the ring Saturday night.

I proposed earlier in my thread that Broner's next opponent should be Celestino Caballero. Caballero campagins at 126lbs and has stepped up to 130lbs for other fights. A common opponent is Jason Litzau @ 130lbs. Caballero lost a SD in ten rounds against Jason Litzau who was a 13-1 under dog. It was a great fight and Caballero comes to fight every time out. He is taller then most 126-130lb fighters and has good power and skills. He was talked about as one of the best at 126 in boxing in recent times.

He won the rematch with Jonathan Victor Barros after a very close split decision loss. He captured the WBA World featherweight title (126lbs). He has since defended it against Satoshi Hosono winning a unanimous decision. Caballero has fought to a decision in 6 of his last 7 fights and would stretch out Broner the full 12 rounds. I think this would be be a good test for the 22 year old

watch highlights from their common opponent.

Yuo can see Caballero had trouble and lost a decision to Litzau where Broner caught him with a straight right hand against the rope and was able to TKO him in the first round. Broner was waiting on the counter punch and shot the right hand over the top of the jab the entire round until he was able to land the big one that finished him. Caballero was throwing wide punches and was hurt a time or two in the fight himself.

I like supporting young fighters like Broner and Canelo who have a lot of haters because of one thing or the other. Broner will make it to the big stage, he has the skills, power, and most importantly the personality to do it.

Caballero would be an okay "distance" type of fight for Broner. A B- fighter at best. It's a fight where it more than likely would go the distance while Broner would get in some work against an awkward style fighter, who's old and has seen his best days, but is still durable and hasn't been stopped in a long time.

not a fan of any of the options posted

i think he's the goods but there's no way to know that until we see him in there with good fighters consistently, and eventually move up in weight. perez, ponce, litzau, are a start, but the kid is young and has plenty of time. i'm sure he's looking for the big fights, and they are not at 130.

he beat the **** out of perez. i watched the fight again last night without the excitement of seeing it live and got a chance to really get a look at broner's stuff. the kid is very fast and he hits very hard at 130. he's also huge. no reason he cant fight at 135.

he looks to have at least a decent chin. if he can fight like that for 12 rounds and takes punches well he's going to be a handful.

                  love the nickname"the problem."

couldnt be higher on the kid.

What has Caba ever done at 130 to warrant a title shot???

I agree with you that he can and could fight at 135 and possibly 140 with his frame kid has a very wide back and shoulders. He has good power and skill needs some more polishing though. Fights like Gamboa and Rios are too dangerous for him at this stage. Granted we all want to see the best fight the best but I think Gamboa and Rios can fight it out they both did enough too see each other in the4 ring right now. I think they will test one another. Remember Gamboa is 30 and Rios is 25. Broner is just 22 years old. I think another 18 months fo staying active and fighting on HBO events will bring him up to the level of prestige he needs to land fights like Rios and Gamboa.

I think the highlighted in red answers why I suggested Caba...As for deserving a title shot at 130lbs? I mean Broner won a vacant title so what did Broner do to deserve a title shot at 130lbs? Cavba would be a great test for a young fighter someone who has not been stopped in a long time who fights hard for 12 rounds and is crafty and can punch.
