Jr, gets a DUI a week before his title defence? its gotta be a combination of both although i think he wants the belt more since it was his to begin with AND he is the emeritus champion. if it was just about the money, every middleweight champ would be as vocal about fighting chavez as sergio is since theres at least 5-7 guys that can beat him and make the same money as well. sergio is most vocal cuz he's mad that chavez and the wbc stole his belt.Originally posted by Boxing Bob View Post
it's one thing to call a guy out and contrary to popular belief, just because you call a guy out doesnt mean he should fight you nor does it mean he's necessarily scared of you if he doesnt accept. however, in this situation, since martinez is the emeritus champion, it is his right to call for the match. wbc should not make him the emeritus champion if they were worried about this cuz it was always going to come down to martinez calling out whoever has his belt.Comment
