That happens all the time if the fight is a PPV. Floyd also has no idea what he will make. He knows his guarantee, but not the final number. That won't be known until PPV numbers are finalised. All Cotto knows is his guarantee and what % of PPV's he is entitled to. I would suggest if the fight does similar no. to the MP fight Cotto will earn his biggest payday. PERSONALLY i am very confident his payday will be very big as i believe this fight will do btw 1.5 - 1.7 million PPV buys.

Didn't Manny just lose to a 38 year old light weight?

I found it on Cotto's twitter. This is the set up arena for tomorrow's Press Tour.

Cotto has no guaranteed money. Where you guys get your facts from?

According to Cotto adviser Gabriel Peñagaricano they will split the earning of gates and PPV and other revenues. Floyd having the biggest share of course, but there is no guarantee.

When someone gets the time of the press conference and links for the live stream, do share.

Cotto is a smart dude, gas stations are like gold mines. He & PLD approaching this fight smart too. He's way more durable and can box w/ the best of them, it's not like vs. Pac, when he was so ****ed he didn't even have proper balance. If Floyd tries to potshot his way to a UD I think Cotto cuts him off and finds him much more often than Ortiz did. And when he gets him on the ropes it'll be way different.

Floyd was the one who personally said he thinks Miguel is undefeated. He said he's a great champ that was done wrong, same **** I be saying.

That numbing cream story is crazy, never heard it before. I guess he won't feel pain on his hands so he can swing harder but it ain't exactly cheating.
As someone who has friends who own gas stations, they are NOT gold mines. You have to own several for the cost of ownership/return to be considered decent.

Example, buying one up depending on location, size, brand etc. can cost anything from 1 mill to 3 mill. Now consider the cost of financing on such a loan (because no one is going to cough up their own cash, let's be serious), the extremely high costs of energy in PR (.29-.31/Kw) and you may have "million" dollar businesses that in reality return the owner just a bit over $ 3,000.00 in gross profit a month. That's including added value products like the mini marts etc!

Now if you own ten of these, and real estate, and all the other myriad of business Cotto has diversified into, now we're talking.

I'm glad he's already doing some light work in the gym, didn't put on much weight at all between fights. He can put all focus on the boxing part of camp and not have to worry about cutting weight.
