He cuts off the ring pretty well, and out-boxing Gamboa will not be Rios' gameplan. Gamboa is gonna have a real hard night if he doesn't take his power up with him.

Brief but fun interview. One thing about Brandon: he speaks his mind. But it's silly to think Gamboa should just stand and trade. Rios is probably just hopeful that he can entice Yuri into a brawl. It's not gonna happen. This will be a test of speed, athleticism and skills versus size, power and relentlessness.

      War GAMBOA!

Hilarious the experts on this thread praise Gamboa's boxing skills. Look at Gamboa closely and he has flaws. His speed and matchmaking is what gives him the edge. Pac has better boxing skills.

I wander if Gamboa beats Rios do the brandon supporters will give Yuriorquis credit, or if they are going to start with the excuses... Because almost every Rios fan are predicting that Gamboa will brake under Rios pressure and to me this fight is going to look like Gamboa vs Ponce, I don't c Gamboa trading with rios.

forget about those gamboa knockdowns. anyone who saw them knows he wasnt hurt in any of them. 2 of them shouldnt even count, one was a slip and the other he got elbowed in the face first. furthermore, those knockdowns occured as gamboa came in, if he just stays outside and boxes rios, he'll be hard to hit. rios isnt exceptionally fast, he's just really tough. so im not sure if he'll be able to catch gamboa, applying pressure is one thing, hitting the guy is different. just ask ricky hatton or victor ortiz.

as for this fight, it breaks down to if u think rios will ko gamboa cuz he's not going to win a decision.

i personally see gamboa either winning by ko or decision. he'll probably just light up rios for the first 3-4 rounds as rios tends too stand there for the first few rounds taking shots like he did against acosta. once that phase passes, gamboa will start boxing him and staying out of range. remember, gamboa is an outside fighter, it's going to be hard for rios to hit him.

Nah, he will have to hunt him / trap him.

I doubt Gamboa will get ****** in, and I doubt that Rios will rely on that.

Rios will have to go looking for him.

You bet he would get the credit, he would be the man, no question.

But, what excuses could Rios fans come up with ?

Gamboa is the smaller man who is reaching for greatness, no excuses there.

I think the main question is, will Gamboa bring his power up to 135..... because if he doesnt, it is highly unlikely that he will be able to keep Rios off him for 12 rounds just with footwork..... in fact, it wont happen.

Gamboa will have to fight Rios at some stage, I am sure of that.

This could be a real cracker.
