It was funny seeing Haye give him a taste of his own medicine.
Did David Haye earn your respect back?

if he can put up a fight against the klits without getting on his bicycle or using lame ass toe excuse, he'll get my respect. who cares if he beat up another loudmouth

there are diffrent kinds of respect. respecting someone as a human being as oposed to an alpha male are two diffrent things.
you have to respect david haye as a man, you have to admit hes one tough son of a *****. if he was anything less he wouldnt fight for a living much less be a former world champion. as much as you e-warriors want to call fighters cowards, *****es etc its simply not possible for them to be that, haye or anyone else. real recognize real, if you dont recognize that they are all tough as hell you are the real ***** ass coward.
the way i hold less respect for haye is as a humanbeing, being a nice guy and carrying yourself in a certain manner. now i dont know him personally so im not saying i dont respect him this way, but that childish incident at the presser sure didnt make me respect him more.Comment

He defended himself, nothing to hate on that. You can hate him for many things, like the infamous toe excuse. But this situation, he handled it like any other man who felt threatened would have handled it. It was an act of self defense.Comment

I never lost 'respect' for him.
Anyone who steps in the ring to make a living has my respect, becoming an undisputed world champion and then moving up to become a heavyweight champion warrants a tremendous amount of respect.
The Wlad fight was a let down for sure and it was dissappointing, but it's not going to remove all the good work he done. Shutting Chisora up was a thumbs-up moment though.Last edited by gmc_rfc_06; 02-24-2012, 04:55 PM.Comment

i see... and what have you done to earn ppls respect? you never even shared a ring with klitschko as far as i know, your not a world champion either. unlike haye..
what have you done that allow you to sit there and say you dont respect david haye, a boxing champion. yet expect ppl to respect you back? explain to me please.. and dont talk about how haye talked a bunch only to run around the ring, nobody here ever been in the ring with wlad in the first place so we are in no position to judge.
what have you done that beats becoming undisputed champion of the world? you got me all curious bro.Comment

Absolutely, nothing commands respect like hitting someone in the face with a bottle before attacking a middle aged trainer.Last edited by Jim Jeffries; 02-24-2012, 05:07 PM.Comment

Yeah, even though I never really lost it. Some people don't realize how draining a street fight is. Not every outside the ring fight is as fast as boxing (Pacquiao Hatton). You have to literately beat the mess out of another grown man. No refs to say break. Bare-knuckle, applying all of their weight on you. Even though my last fight was in college, I remember I won and still broke 2 fingers by striking him. I think I won because it was cold (Chicago) and I wanted to get that crap over with. So that was extra motivation, lol. An outside the ring fight is not easy. Yeah he has my respect. Chisora ran up to his face to start a best K-bro loser fight and hey!!!.... Don't agree with the trainer part thoComment
