I don't think he has a problem facing anyone as long as it prolongs him facing Martinez. Chavez Jr would face the devil before getting in the ring with Martinez, he'd rather die than to get in the ring with Martinez. One of the biggest, if not the biggest coward ranked in the top 10 in any weight class. Definitely one of the biggest cowards who's holding a major title. One of the most cowardly, most protected champions in boxing right now.

Respect? Two weeks before defending the WBC middleweight championship of the world he goes out and gets drunk! Does anybody know if the WBC took any action, a fine or something? What a kick in the teeth for all the fighters that dedicate their lives to boxing staying away from alchahol and other vices but never get the exposure or earn anything like the purses this bum has just because of his name. He obviously has no respect for the sport or the legacy of other middleweight champions that have preceeded him.
Boxings sanctioning bodies and promoters are as corrupt as ever and when they're done milking Chavez he'll be left wasted and desolate on the street like so many other champions before him, only difference is this punk will deserve it

I was going to start a thread in boxing history actually. In terms of being protected and receiving preferential treatment without having done anything (except being the son of JC) I think he ranks pretty high all time.
