Totally agree. There are plenty of decent middleweights out there that JCC Jr. could fight. He won't get near them. Why fight Rubio? Rubio was so out gunned by an overrated Kelly Pavlik at middleweight that it was clear he'd never be a real threat at that weight class. That's the only reason JCC Jr. fought him--he wasn't a threat. The worst part of his decision to fight Rubio is that he didn't look good against him. Pavlik looked much better. If it weren't for the enormous size difference between them, it would have been a very close fight.

And JCC Jr. is more protected than Canelo. Not by much though. Plus Canelo is only 21 whereas JCC Jr. is 26. Huge difference between those two ages.
