Povetkin will be better without Atlas anyways.
He should fight Vitali after this fight (if he wins)Comment

What's this neanderthal's problem? Valuev has to get it straight in his thick skull that Teddy must make sure that Teddy and his ego come first!
Emmanuel Steward and Freddie Roach both train numerous elite and high profile fighters and also have broadcasting jobs. They seem to manage the two very well and stay humble. Whereas, Mr. Atlas even though he's a part-time trainer seems to never stop running his mouth about how honorable he is to ESPN instead of his fighters. It's time fighters and fans realize how much we owe the great Teddy Atlas just for his presence in the sport of boxing!!Last edited by adp023; 02-22-2012, 02:40 PM.Comment

Valuev needs to put the blame squarely where it belongs: on the shoulders of the greedy Russians who run Team Povetkin.
It's obvious they wanted Teddy out of the way so that they could control Alexander better.Comment

I wonder how much money he could truly make out of commentating on Friday Night Fights cards over being a part of a Klitschko-Povetkin fight.
It's just Atlas being Atlas. He made a deal where he was unwilling to travel to Russia in order to train Povetkin and he was not going to budge even if a compromise could have been made.
I just don't think Povetkin is serious enough about his career at this point.Comment
