Why are people so critical of Haye's performance against Wlad?

he lacked heart, simple as that.
After years of talking **** he fought like a hoe. He flopped around all over the place and only tried that same freaking move over and over and over again which wasn't working. People don't respect a poor effort, especially after all the talk and hype.
Eddie Chambers & Sam Peter gave more of an effort than Haye did.
The problems he had in the ring were not about heart, they were about skill and technique, and you are right he didnt have enough ideas, he stung Wlad in the last round but it was too late. But I disagree that he doesnt have heart, he has got up off the canvas to win before and has shown heart in plenty of fights.Comment

Same old boring crap, you guys are entitled to your opinion. But clearly you have no idea how Haye fights so my original point stands. You should have known what to expect, haye has rarely thrown 40 punches a round that is not his style, also you should give wlad credit for nullifying him.Comment

There was a reason he went to the floor, so not to take wlad's weight when he holds and leans on, it was a tactic, so he didnt wear down like a lot of Wlad opponents and get a point taken off, which he succeeded. I am not saying it was necessarily the right thing to do, but it wasn't because he lacked heart or is a hoe.

Then he shouldn't have talked himself up as the second coming. Pretty obvious why people are 'critical' of his performance. He led them on and didn't deliver.Comment

Followed Gaye's career since his first fight. I know exactly how he fights. And I knew he would fight in that fashion. But I didnt expect it to be such a pusssified pathetic lame effort. He looked like he had zero gameplan. Except run away and attempt to throw one huge overhand right occasionally. He wanted to make as much money for as little effort as possible and congratulations to the ****, he did it.Comment

Yes but tried to deliver, I am assuming that most of the people that post here have more than just a passing interest in the sport, if you know your stuff you should have known what to expect, how many other fighters sell fights and don't perform? Why is Haye subject to special treatment?Comment
