Comments Thread For: Lennox Lewis, Hatton, Cleverly Discuss Haye vs. Chisora

Some of the biggest names in British Boxing are shocked with last Saturday's brawl between David Haye and Dereck Chisora. The incident took place during the post-fight conference to Chisora's bout with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko. The two boxers exchanged words, punches, and their camps were involved in the violence.

Lennox Lewis hatred of Africans is well known so really his opinion means nothing. In any case he didn't expect Chisora to last 30 seconds so he can keep his biased opinion to himself

Got to agree with Lennox Lewis on this one.

as much as I would hate that fight not to happen he should have pulled the plug. Vitali probably didn't pull the fight because of the fans and because he knew he would beat Chisora with one arm tied behind his back, literally.

He's a liar when he says he would have pulled the plug.
Tyson bit him but he didn't pull out of the fight neither did he pull out of the Rahman fight after all the fracas

Hattons's right but what he has to remember is Haye is a fighter and one with a big ego.

He can't walk away - he's reputation and everything he fought for has been ruined. The guy became an overnight joke after calling Wlad out for years promising all sorts of a bleak end for Wlad - only to go out on a wimpier and blame his toe.

Obviously, the fact that he was once respected on all the TV shows and those that knew little about boxing in the UK thought he was the next Ali, everyone wanted his autograph, picture etc.

Then - he fought Wlad and overnight became a national joke and embarrassment. This, deep down, is killing Haye.

Which is why he's crashing press conferences, to try and get a shot at the very now shot Vitali.

With Bonte and Chisora further rubbing salt into the wounds of Haye - ridiculing him in front of all the press by bringing up the fact that Chisora showed far more bottle and fight and asking how his toe was.

Well, when Chisora came upto him - instead of cooly laughing at him or organising that they sort it in the ring - he took all his frustrations out and lambed him with bottle in hand.

Further adding to Haye's reputation demise. He was respected prior to the Audley Harrison fight and did plenty of respected things as a boxer.

Since then - unfortunately, he's become a laughing stock, which is a shame as he was a decent fighter.

TRUTH HURTS

Well, when Chisora came upto him - instead of cooly laughing at him or organising that they sort it in the ring - he took all his frustrations out and lambed him with bottle in hand. BOXING BY ITS NATURE IS "CONTROLLEDAGGRESSION"- ANOTHER REASON WHY HAYE IS NOT A GREAT BOXER. HE WAS ALSO RATHER LIKE A CORNERED ANIMAL AND REACTED OUT OF FEAR

Further adding to Haye's reputation demise. He was respected prior to the Audley Harrison fight and did plenty of respected things as a boxer. YES, REAL SHAME. I ALWAYS THOUGHT HE WAS OVERRATED BUT HE OVERACHIEVED AND DID WELL, FAIR PLAY, BUBBLE BURST NOW THOUGH

Since then - unfortunately, he's become a laughing stock, which is a shame as he was a decent fighter.
(not criticising what you say here, just adding my thoughts)
