All the quote in the article actually says is that it's one of the punishments available. It doesn't say they're actually going to do it, or even imply that it's in any way likely.
Life ban a possibility for Chisora

With the exception of biting I think the things you list are either funny or irrelevant. If you're troubled by domestic abuse and brawling outside the ring you're probably watching the wrong sport. Some of the most revered Boxers in history have done things that makes Chisora look like an angel. You guys act as if this is the first time he got in trouble with the commision.
-kissing fighters incidents
-biting fighters
-domestic abuse
-slapping fighters
-spitting on fighters
-brawling outside the ring
Probably left something out. How many more chances are you gonna give a guy?
He's obviously a bit mental and needs some taming, but he's done nothing that would warrant such an extreme punishment, in my opinion.
As for Haye, with the exception of the tripod moment I don't think he has done anything wrong at all. I think he just got a bit carried away at that point, and should be forgiven on the grounds that it was easily the funniest part of the whole sequence. Battering his own best friend and trainer took the whole thing to a different level altogether.Last edited by deadbeat hero; 02-20-2012, 02:54 PM.Comment

Life bans are formalities. If the WBC were to ban a fighter the IBF, WBA etc would not honor it. If a boxing comission from a country bans a fighter the fighter could just go elsewhere and fight.
Anyways, a ban from boxing for Chisora seems extreme.Comment
