A life ban would be ****ing ******. 6 months. Its a fight. thats all. Bad for British boxing? It finally ended this bore-fest of waiting for Amir Khan to make himself look like an ass again. As for Haye, British Boxing needs David Haye. Boxing in general needs David Haye. His tactics against Wlad were embarrassingly wrong, and i think he would look to put that to rest against Vitali.
Chisora's Punishment

As I've said, he should have been given a bonus for being so entertaining. Maybe half of Vitali's pay check.Comment

6-7 months ban will be ok, along with a financial penalty. Or maybe a suspended sentance with the condition that if he pulls any stunt like that again, e.g. spitting water, slap, conference brawl etc he will be suspended automatically for a year.Comment

Not "excited" yet you're here talking about it?
The people that are running around screaming "BAN THEM" makes the whole thing look embarrassing.Comment

He shouldn't be banned at all. These are fighters we are talking about, not football players who have had a punch up on camera. They fight on TV for a living and when they square up with bad blood between them face to face with no security to intervene then it's just as much a fault of the promoters and venue security for allowing it to happen.
Yes they should have behaved better, but lets get real, stop the dramatics and get a heavyweight tourney on the go. The klitschko brothers vs the 2 brothers from London and a couple of other goons and we are good to go.Comment

No not excited, but that's not the only emotion that sparks talking about this is it?
Maybe i'm wrong but I thought posting out of dissapointment would also be reasonable. That's all I really feel, dissapointed.
Also, how does debating the level of punishment equate to running around screaming. Get real.Comment

Exaggeration on my part. But yes, the whole thing to me is exciting because we may finally get to see some heavyweights fight because they really want to. not just as another formality. Like i said before, both should be given 6 month bans, and nothing more should be made of the situation. No not excited, but that's not the only emotion that sparks talking about this is it?

The security there was pathetic and Chisora should not have been allowed to leave the stage and approach David Haye. The only thing this fight shows is that people have become disillusioned with the HW division and no longer understand the tension that there can be between boxers.Comment

Yeah fair point, I agree we need a fight with some extra tension. It's a very dry division and it has been for a long time but it's a shame they don't save the beating till the bell rings.
Definitely disillusioned but not lacking understanding. I get that fights happen and there might be hatred that comes to blows but still, we got to expect some level of proffessionalism from these elite fighters. They have even less reason for animosity since boxing is the sport that enables them to physically punish each other in the ring. Let it be settled in there.
The slap was the tipping point but if he'd left it at that and Haye had stayed away from the post-fight, then we could be talking about something much better: what was finally a decent heavyweight fight, full of bravery and heart.Comment
