I have serious doubts of Gamboa as a lightweight. He seems to be a natural 126 lber and not a very sturdy one at that. His speed however could be a problem for bigger opponents if he can execute a more conservative gameplan.

If he beats Rios, there will be big paydays in store for him. It's worth the risk I guess, considering that he can always move down if he doesn't succeed and because the lower weight divisions are somewhat lacking in respectable names at the moment.

And then didn't gamboa get dropped in his very next fight against darling jimenez?? I dunno, I just feel like Gamboa's chin is suspect and if anyone can expose it it's rios..

and damn tough break if that was an elbow :/

Edit: my bad the jimenez fight happened before the ramirez fight

If Gamboa beats Rios, I would like to see him fight Marquez the real king in Lightweight.
