im really surprised at the amount of people on here saying bute aint *****. if you've ever read my posts you know im not one to jump on any kind of bandwagon or give a hyped fighter props for fighting low-level competition.
with that said, i think extremely high of bute. you switch their fights with bika and miranda...bute fought bika first and ward fought miranda first...either way you cut it bute was more impressive.
i dont wanna act like i know the end-all be-all of boxing or every aspect of the game, but ward's in your face/up close style isnt gonna work to his advantage against bute. that uppercut that bute has is disgusting. he's so much more fluid than bika and froch.
i personally thought bika at the very least drew with ward and froch was a 115-113 kinda fight.
people are giving ward wayyyy too much credit for the allan green and arthur abraham wins. 1..allan green aint NOTHING. donny mccrary or whoever the F gives a ***** what his name is had green on ***** street. he was at the corner of blatant and gay. props to green for getting up though, he showed some heart there.
abraham was getting outboxed by everyone he fought in that tournament. couple seconds more and JT would have clinched a clear win on my card and i thought froch schooled abraham better.
i mean these guys are all good fighters and top dudes at 168 but dont give me this nonsense that bute isnt nothing or needs to prove his wealth. he's dominated his common super 6 opponents.
you think ward beat froch's ass?? just wait until you see bute in with him.
for real, i watch most boxing cards start to finish. i stopped watching bute vs johnson about halfway through. it just wasnt close at all.
i dont wanna talk out my ass anymore than i already am but the way ward fights on the inside, that bute uppercut is gonna catch him.
bute is a pretty nice all around a fighter. sure, andrade had him hurt at the very end of that fight but if you watch it look at the clock. bute goes down with 2 or 3 seconds left and definitely gets up before a 10 count. theres no saved by the bell or referee interference. you get knocked down in the very final seconds. that bell rings 2 seconds into the count. if you get up the fight is over. its not the same as getting knocked down with 12 seconds left and getting up at 3 and being out of it. the fight was pretty much over when bute got dropped and he got up within 10.
really, theres a reason that ward doesnt want him next and i doubt ward himself would even fight dirrell.
