for true fans (which the TS and many of us here are,) the alphabet belts dont really mean much

for fighters it's a goal that they shoot for from youth and a source of motivation

for the promotors it's the difference between promoting a "12 round main event," and a "World championship."
    mo cash

and of course for the sanctioning bodies there is a large fee (usually in the tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars for the major fights and ppvs)

in my experience with them i've found the rankings of every major sanctioning body to be total BS much more often than not.

total garbage. on principal alone i dont even pay attention.

if this cuenca cat is fighting cabbies he should be stretching them out

unless there's a record on every fight on his boxrec he's only got one knockout

a tune up is a tune up, but this is just awful

they're probably close to marquez like the wbc is close to chavez jr, canelo, and others so they set up an easy title shot. he was their super champion at lightweight and did just fight for their welterweight belt.

He has been fisting on bums in Argetina, the only good name on his resume is Alex De Jesus(he is in jail right now), and that was a blantant robbery. the guy won 2 rounds at best in that fight and end up with a Ud 116-112, 117-113wtf? and 118-115 wtf? again. They robbed De Jesus the fight. De Jesus was the #1 WBO JWW at the moment, thats how this bum got the #1 ranking.

Cuneca sounds like a boss and worthy of the beating he will receive against Marquez

Cano and Cuenca, both were/are worthy opponents for the two Mexican legends. They were/are undefeated, young, hungry lions.
