  • hbo or showtime for boxing - if you had to choose 1

Which would you rather get if you only could only choose 1 channel - HBO or Showtime? (For boxing events frequency, quality, interest in fights, announcers, etc)? Thanks.

HBO for the quality of their production and broadcast easily Showtime for the announcers.

HBO, even though Showtime practically owns the best division in boxing (168)

          HBO.

But I'm warming to Showtime but they've got a long way to go before they get to HBO's standard.

HBO by a mile! Showtime sucks and the announcers are so ***en boring hey put me to sleep. HBO may be. Biased but at least they are entertaining.

Showtime is much more professional and less bias, compared to HBO in which the 3 Old Men turn into Cheerleaders instead of Professional Announcers and they try to influence the fans watching...especially the Casual Boxing fans

Lampley has sunk so low that he is now call things in the ring that is not even happening hahaha Fans Are Chanting "Money Money Money" he tells you "Now A Chant For Ortiz" even going as low as lying about Punches that are not even landing

HBO need to make a chance, put some YOUTH in the Booth, Switch Kellerman and Merchant and let Roy replace Steward, I respect the opinion of a guy that actually fought before compared to some Drunk Bitter Old Man or some Tin Man Looking Trainer with the Worse Hair Piece I ever seen lol

I have much more respect for Al Bernstein and Tarver because they CALL IT LIKE THEY SEE IT!

But HBO OVERALL Production and Presentation just looks better and more organized

                Neither.

The both cater too much to Golden Boy, Top Rank and Al Haymon and put on too many non-competitive fights.

BoxNation, PolSat and EPIX are putting on far more of the fights I want to see.

If you're a boxing fan you have to go with HBO just because the very best fight on that network. SHO is starting to catch up though and their fights are usually better. HBO has the money but SHO usually has the better fights but when you watch boxing the most important thing first and foremost is seeing the very best do their thing.
